Photo Friday – Cradle Mountain, Tasmania, Australia

21 Dec

If you’re reading this post, then the world hasn’t ended.  This is obviously great for many reasons, one of which is that you still have time to head down to Tasmania and check out Cradle Mountain!  Cradle Mountain is one of the most visited spots in Tasmania, and for good reason.  The landscape is dramatic, stunning, and feels very wild.  The hiking is some of the most beautiful we’ve done, and felt a lot like parts of Patagonia.

I just got back from Patagonia – if Cradle Mountain is anywhere close to Patagonia’s beauty, sign me up for a trip. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve always wanted to do the Overland track – it’s meant to be spectacular the whole way

Great photo! It definitely reminds me of Patagonia, too. So glad you enjoyed the hiking. We haven’t had much internet in Africa so I’m enjoying catching up on your posts now that we have a (slow) connection for a few hours. Happy New Years’ from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia! We saw the New Years’ fireworks from Australia yesterday and thought of you all. Wishing you an awesome 2013!!! 🙂
